About Loadwise Design Consultants
Loadwise Design Consultants (LDC) is a structural engineering consultancy specialising in tall buildings, large-span structures, airports, railway stations, ropeways, bunkers, tunnels and nuclear containment structures. We deliver innovative, safe, resilient and economical structural solutions.
We combine advanced analysis, modern computational tools and hands-on experience to solve both conventional and highly specialised structural challenges — with close attention to accurate detailing, code compliance and cost efficiency.
Our core strength is designing for extreme loading conditions — seismic, wind, impact and blast loads. This includes dynamic analysis, damage evaluation and protective design for structures exposed to missile strikes, accidental impact and blast events, backed by deep experience in the ballistic response of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

Core expertise
Dr. Mohd Asif is the Principal Consultant at Loadwise Design Consultants (LDC), bringing over 13 years of professional experience in structural engineering, consultancy and academic research. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from IIT Roorkee, an M.Tech. in Earthquake Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia (Gold Medalist) and a B.Tech. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India).
He specialises in the structural design of high-rise buildings, industrial complexes, airports, railway stations, bunkers and containment structures. His professional and research expertise spans advanced structural analysis, performance-based design, risk-based assessment, nonlinear analysis, and impact- and blast-resistant design of structures. As part of his doctoral research at IIT Roorkee, he examined the behaviour of double-layered nuclear containment structures under rigid missile impact through large-scale ballistic experiments, with key findings submitted to the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) to inform future design codes for nuclear containment structures in India.
His research has been published in several high-impact, SCI-indexed international journals — including Engineering Structures, the International Journal of Impact Engineering, Engineering Failure Analysis and the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics — and has been presented at international conferences in Guangzhou (China), Freiburg (Germany), Perth (Australia) and Indore (India).
